Join NRA Advanced Instructor, Jim Benoit for a comprehensive introductory class on defensive shooting. The curriculum is designed for women and men that have minimal experience in shooting their firearm and can demonstrate safe gun handling skills. Some experience shooting is a plus but not required.
We will review your grip, stance and sight picture to ensure all students are on track. You will shoot multiple targets while practicing muzzle discipline, trigger control and reset. We will introduce movement while shooting.
Topics include: Use of Force,Grip, Stance, Draw, Shot Placement.

50 - 100 rounds required (Ammo is available at a discount to students. Please mention when registering)
Important: if class is moved indoors due to weather, you will need synthetic jacket, plated, or lead ammo only.

A 4 hour course that provides the student with refined skills required to confidently operate a handgun in a violent situation. We challenge you and take your skills to the next level in this class.Our goal is to refine your speed and smoothness.We start with an in- depth classroom session followed by tactical drills on the range. Topics:
Reinforcement and adjustment of the Foundation
Malfunction Clearing
One handed Shooting
Ready Positions
Shooting multiple targets
Neutralizing multiple threats while moving and shooting
Shooting on the Move, getting off the “X”
Presentation from awkward and uncomfortable positions
Prequisite: Defensive Carry I or equal.

Knowing that every bullet sent downrange has your name on it, the focus of this training is that every bullet you shoot hit a 6” circle or a 3”x5” area above the circle. We will focus on speed while maintaining accuracy at varying distances. Work will also occur varying speed between slow and fast depending on distance and surrounding conditions. A certificate is available for successful students that compliments your De-escalation Certificate that demonstrates a complete and well rounded student of self-defense. 250 rounds

While pistols are small and concealable, they make a better back up weapons rather than primaries. Empower yourself with the knowledge to effectively defend self and loved ones with a rifle. Iron sights or very low powered scopes and red dots are acceptable. This class will teach you how to use your rifle to its full potential. We will build on the basics learned in "Intro" and take your rifle work to the next level. We cover in depth safety and handling, cleaning and maintaining of weapon, administrative and action loading, malfunctions and clearing, sidearm transitions, multiple threats, cover and concealment, stress inoculation, situational awareness, and teamwork.

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be eligible for the Florida Out of State Carry Permit.
This course provides the student with basic skills and the mindset required to confidently operate a handgun in a violent situation. Defensive Carry I is geared toward the student with some limited experience operating a handgun; both open and concealed carry from outside the waistband. The class starts with a lively classroom session followed by active drills on the range. We develop proper shot placement on the threat, introduce fighting magazine reloads and tactical reloads. We shoot multiple targets practicing muzzle discipline and trigger reset. We develop & expand movement while shooting. Topics: Use of Force, Grip, Stance, Draw, Reset and Shot Placement.
This class is certified by DE, MD, NJ, and FL for concealed carry permits
